Yesterday in Athens we worshipped with Greek, Iranian, Sudan, Afghan, and American Christians. The closing prayer was led by 4 different men from 4 different countries in 4 different languages: Greek, Arabic, Farsi, and English. Several of those worshipping were tourists like us, some were residents of Athens, some were missionaries, and some were refugees….and we all worship the same God. We are part of the same body.
Many parts, one body.
Leaving the Artemis for an afternoon of shopping at the Plaka.
Many of us bought shoes at the Poet’s shop. He is famous for his handmade custom-fit sandals.
We arrived at church on Sunday evening before anyone else. We sang while we waited.
